This year we are teaming up with Downtown State College to make sure this Christmas season is nothing short of magical for individuals of all ages. So bundle up your family, head downtown and make your days merry and bright using our anticipated holiday happenings guide. It all kicks off this week with the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony!

What: Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

When: Friday, November 22, 2019, from 5:30pm to 8:00pm

Where: Allen Street

Kick off the holiday season on Allen Street with State College’s Tree Lighting Ceremony! While you’re waiting for this fun, annual event to start, stop by Lions Pride for holiday shopping and light refreshments.

 

What: Lions Pride’s Holiday Open House

When:  Saturday, November 23, 2019, from 9:30am to 6:00pm

Where: Lions Pride (112 E. College Ave)

Why wait for Small Business Saturday when you can get a jump start on your holiday shopping while the Penn State students are away? Join us for a Holiday Open House on Saturday, November 23, 2019. L. Moyer Designs will host a Penn State jewelry pop-up shop from 10:00am to 5:00pm, we will offer FREE gift wrapping for gifts purchased in-store and we will have a selection of light refreshments to make your shopping experience more enjoyable.

 

What: Small Business Saturday

When: Saturday, November 30, 2019

Where: Lions Pride (112 E. College Ave.)

Visit us on Saturday, November 30, 2019, and help us celebrate Small Business Saturday. The Nittany Lions will kickoff against Rutgers at 3:30pm, so there is plenty of time to shop small before the final Penn State home game of the season.

 

What: First Friday December: An Evening with Artist Tom Mosser

When: Friday, December 6, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm

Where: Lions Pride (112. East College Ave.)

WE ARE…Please to announce that we will host artist and Penn State graduate, Tom Mosser (https://www.tommosserdesign.com/), for an art show on Friday, December 6, 2019 as part of Downtown State College’s First Friday celebration. We will serve light refreshments during this special event and will also offer FREE gift wrapping for the holiday season.

 

What: The Polar Express

When: December 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th

Where: Downtown State College

This year’s Polar Express will welcome children and their families to downtown State College to enjoy a reading of the beloved children’s book, a visit to Santa’s Workshop, a trolley ride through town and the opportunity to see The Polar Express movie for FREE at The State Theatre. During the days of the Polar Express, Lions Pride will happily offer coloring stations for children, light refreshments and FREE gift wrapping for presents purchased in-store.
